Tempered Glass
Blackline Aluminum's tempered glass can be used for a variety of things, such as windows, doors, shower enclosures, railings, and automobile windows. In settings such as offices, schools, and hospitals where safety is a concern, it is often used because of its less likelihood of shattering into sharp fragments. When broken, tempered glass shatters into small, blunt fragments that are less likely to cause injury than annealed glass, which is often shattered into sharp, jagged shards.
Tempered Glass VS Heat Soaked-Glass
- Glass that has been heat-soaked and glass that has been tempered are both types of safety glass used in construction, but their production methods and physical characteristics differ.
- In order to make tempered glass, the glass is heated to a high temperature and then rapidly cooled with air jets. In contrast, heat-soaked glass undergoes an additional heating process before it becomes tempered.
- The glass that has been heat-soaked is different from tempered glass because it has been heated further to reduce the risk of spontaneous breakage.
