Tempered Glass Banned - Blackline Aluminum products

Tempered glass has four times the tensile strength of annealed glass.

Tempered Glass VS Heat Soaked-Glass

  • Glass that has been heat-soaked and glass that has been tempered are both types of safety glass used in construction, but their production methods and physical characteristics differ.
  • In order to make tempered glass, the glass is heated to a high temperature and then rapidly cooled with air jets. In contrast, heat-soaked glass undergoes an additional heating process before it becomes tempered.
  • The glass that has been heat-soaked is different from tempered glass because it has been heated further to reduce the risk of spontaneous breakage.
