Job Summary

Glass Forming & Finishing Machine Operators and Glass Cutters play a crucial role in the production of glass products, ensuring precision, quality, and efficiency in the manufacturing process. They operate machinery and tools to shape, cut, and finish glass materials for various applications.

Job Description

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on diverse glass machines, covering glass cutting, seaming, washing, tempering, spandrel glass, and heat soak glass operations.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with various glass machinery components, ensuring smooth functionality across glass cutting, seaming and washing, tempering, spandrel glass, and heat soak glass processes, and polishing washing machines.
  • Conduct inspections and comprehensive testing on machineries and systems by using pneumatic to accurately identify any faults or issues that may arise.
  • Repair and replace faulty components, such as motors, belts, sensors, and control panels.
  • Calibrate and align machinery to ensure precise operation and accurate output.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and parts inventory.
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to occupational health and safety regulations while working with glass machinery.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements and industry trends in glass machine maintenance and repair techniques.
  • Utilize the relevant manufacturer’s manuals and circuit diagrams to determine the appropriate tests and maintenance procedures for the machines.
  • Precisely set up components in accordance with the manufacturers’ guidelines to ensure reliable operations.
  • Provide valuable consultation and training to process operators, guiding them in enhancing their understanding and proficiency in effectively utilizing the machinery and optimizing various processes.
  • Accurately position machinery and components during the installation, setup, and repair processes.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and investigations to identify and resolve irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
  • Skillfully assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation.

Skills and Qualifications

  • millwright: 1 year
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting glass machines
  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures for glass machinery.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of glass machines.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Prioritization and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Adherence to safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Proven experience in working with Automation and Pneumatic systems
  • Proficient in commissioning and conducting training sessions for industrial equipment
  • Skilled in implementing predictive and scheduled maintenance practices to optimize operations and reduce downtime.
