Job Summary
As an Engineering Lead, you will oversee and manage engineering projects across production lines, including Railing, Glass, Assembly, and Panel, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery. You will improve manufacturing processes for window wall and curtain wall systems, emphasizing efficiency, cost reduction, and quality control.
This role involves supervising and mentoring engineers and drafters, reviewing architectural and IFC drawings, developing project plans, resolving discrepancies, conducting site inspections, and supporting tender and construction processes. Proficiency in Revit and design tools is essential, along with strong leadership and project management skills. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 5-10 years of experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role, are required.
Job Description
- Lead engineering projects across production lines (Railing, Glass, Assembly, and Panel), ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery.
- Improve manufacturing processes for window wall systems and curtain walls, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and quality control.
- Supervise and mentor engineers and drafters, providing guidance on technical projects.
- Reviewing architectural, structural, mechanical drawings and IFC drawings of external architectural consultants for supplementing shop drawings
- Develop project floor plans for installation/fabrication coordination.
- Resolve discrepancies by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
- Perform field verification and measurements and accurately transfer this information to the drawings Conduct site observation and/or inspection activities during design or construction phases of the project
- Assist in the tender and construction process through the review of submittals, shop drawings and RFIs
- Keep up to date on new products, technologies, design processes and drafting techniques
- Communicating with other team members during the Revit model production
- Organizing and maintaining a design and Revit digital file database for each project
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related fields
- 5-10 years of experience in engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role in manufacturing or construction
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects is preferred.
- Strong technical skills in design, project management, and Revit.
- Experience with managing projects end-to-end, ideally with a strong track record in large-scale or complex manufacturing environments.
- Experienced with Revit and other relevant design and engineering software. Able to leverage Revit for project design, planning, and visualization, enhancing project accuracy and stakeholder communication.
