Blackline Aluminum's Heat-Soaked Glass can handle a variety of environmental conditions & external forces.
Heat-Soaked Glass
The glass that has been heat-soaked is typically used in architectural applications where safety is a concern. By heat-soaking tempered glass, nickel sulfide inclusions can be reduced which might spontaneously break. As part of Blackline Aluminum's glazing process, heat soaking is used to identify and eliminate tempered glass panels with nickel sulfide inclusions, which could lead to spontaneous breakage. In this way, unexpected breakage is greatly reduced after installation.
Heat-soaked glass is commonly used for the following applications:
Building Facades:
There are many building facades made of heat-soaked glass and claddings made of glass. Various environmental conditions and potential stresses require high-performance glass for these applications. Blackline Aluminum’s Heat-soaked glass helps ensure the reliability and safety of the glass panels used in these structures.
Glass Partitions:
Blackline Aluminum’s heat-soaked glass is commonly used for interior glass partitions. These glass partitions are transparent and sound insulating as well as aesthetically pleasing. Our Heat-soaked glass reduces the risks of sudden glass breakage injuring occupants.
Balustrades and Railings:
Heat-Soaked glass and tempered glass are available from Blackline Aluminum to ensure the safety and strength of glass balustrades and railings and also structural integrity to reduce the possibility of spontaneous breakage.
