Job Site Service
The Job Site Services Technician plays a key role in supporting Blackline Aluminum’s field operations by ensuring the proper installation, adjustment, and service of window and door systems at active job sites. This position helps maintain product quality, resolves site issues efficiently, and supports smooth project progress by performing technical fieldwork in a safe and professional manner.
Working closely with installers and supervisors, the technician ensures our glazing systems function as designed, meet customer expectations, and align with Blackline’s standards for durability, safety, and appearance. The role requires strong attention to detail, hands-on problem-solving, and the ability to work confidently at heights using specialized access equipment.
- Perform glazing work, including installation and adjustment of glass units.
- Apply silicone around glass to ensure proper sealing and waterproofing.
- Install, replace, and adjust glass stops as required.
- Change and repair window and door hardware if required.
- Install windows and doors according to company specifications and safety standards.
- Replace damaged or defective window glass units.
- Install and adjust window screens.
- Ensure all work is completed accurately, safely, and in compliance with Blackline Aluminum quality standards.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any required repairs.
- Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE while working on job sites.
- Ability to work safely at heights on various job sites.
- Boom Lift certified (operating boom lifts and aerial work platforms safely and efficiently).
- Swing Stage certified and able to perform tasks on suspended access equipment.
- Follow all Blackline Aluminum safety standards, site policies, and Ontario OHSA regulations.
- Ensure all glazing, hardware installation, silicone application, and glass replacement meet company quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent hazards and ensure efficient workflow.
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 to 16:00
- Overtime paid in accordance with applicable legislation.
