Breakdown Detailer
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Breakdown Detailer to join our Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing project drawings and specifications, preparing accurate material breakdowns, MTOs, and BOMs, and supporting production and procurement with timely material requirements.

- Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications to understand project scope.
- Prepare detailed material breakdowns for window wall, curtain wall, and related systems.
- Generate accurate Material Take-Offs (MTO) and Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, and Procurement teams to ensure material accuracy and availability.
- Identify discrepancies in drawings and raise RFIs where required.
- Update breakdowns based on revisions, addendums, and site changes.
- Support cost control by identifying material efficiencies and waste reduction opportunities.
- Maintain organized records of breakdowns, revisions, and project documentation.
- Assist in planning production requirements based on project timelines.
- Ensure all breakdowns align with project specifications and company standards.
- Experience in building envelope, window wall, curtain wall, or related industry (required).
- Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings.
- Experience preparing material take-offs (MTO) and Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 17:00
- Overtime paid in accordance with applicable legislation.
- CA$60,000 – CA$75,000 per year (based on experience).
